Stan Hess love of ballooning began many years ago. I took my first flight in a hot air balloon more than 25 years ago, and I never stopped. Within 6 months of that flight I bought my first balloon and became a commercially rated pilot within that same year." During the 10 years that followed, Stan participated in State, National, and International events and competitions which gave him the flying time and practice he needed to develop his skill level and gain experience. As an owner and operator of The United States Hot Air Balloon Team, Stan began offering commercial balloon rides from Lancaster and Chester Counties in Pennsylvania about twenty years ago and is still offering balloon rides from each of these locations today.
Stan has since dedicated himself to providing the ultimate in first class adventure for national and international travelers. He is enthusiastic about each flight and the excitement he sees on the faces of his passengers and the people he meets at every landing are a true testamate to the magic of ballooning. After thousands of flights Stan is still amazed and can not explain the attraction and affection that people, young and old, have towards hot air balloons.
Each Classic World Adventures balloon flight is flown by a pilot of The United States Hot Air Balloon Team. Our pilots are FAA Commercially Certified and have countless hours of experience in all aspects of hot air balloon flight. Crew members are highly trained to handle all equipment and are always planning the best routes for retrieval so that they are there to greet you when you land.
